1 banana

1 cup frozen mixed berries

1 cup unsweetened almond milk

2 tablespoons date syrup

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 tablespoon chia seeds (optional)

Ice cubes (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth. If the smoothie is too thick, add more almond milk or ice cubes to achieve your desired consistency.

2 tablespoons granulated sugar

2 teaspoons baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 cup milk

1 egg

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

1/4 cup date syrup

Butter or cooking spray for cooking

INSTRUCTIONS

  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, egg, vegetable oil, and date syrup.
  • Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix
  • Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Add a small amount of butter or cooking spray to the skillet.

Ingredients

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

1/2 cup date syrup

2 eggs

1/2 cup milk

1 tsp vanilla extract

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch cake pan with butter or cooking spray.
  • In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and date syrup until light and fluffy. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
  • Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before removing it from the pan and transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Serve the date syrup cake as is or with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of ice cream.
